¶ Detailed setup - Mobile base
Detailed instructions vary slightly between mobile base and permanent base setup.
This page is mainly focuesd on mobile base installation and setup.
¶ Summary
- Connect antenna(s)
- Attach power source to base
- Turn on base
- Complete software set-up
¶ 1. Connect antenna(s)
- Connect GNSS antenna
- Connect radio whip antenna if radio capability needed
¶ 2. Attach power source to base
Either:
- DC - 12V battery
- AC - 110V wall outlet
¶ 3. Turn on base
Powering on the base before connecting the antenna will lead to strange behavior.
Select AC or DC on the power switch.
Notes:
- In the middle switch position, no power is supplied to the base components. Select DC or AC power supply.
- If possible, keep the lid open while operating to keep the base protected from rain, excessive dust, and direct sunlight.
- The weatherproof enclosure is water resistant when closed.

Summary:
- Connect to base via Wi-fi
- Obtain base coordinates (instructions include details on how to properly measure antenna height)
- Input coordinates to FastRTK admin software

Connect to mobile base with DJI M300 (FastRTK version 4.x)
Establish Wi-fi connection
Search for nearby Wi-fi networks with your mobile device.
SSID: FastRTK
Password: fastrtk!
Your device is now connected to the base and will allow you to access the web interface for setup. It will not connect you to the internet.
If a message pops up saying there is no internet connection on this network, choose to stay connected.
Connect the M300 RTK controller to the mobile base
All fields must be written exactly as shown:
Caster: 192.168.25.1
Port: 10000
Mountpoint: RTKBASE
Get username and password from your vendor.
Also, make sure that a valid coordinate has been set in the admin panel under the RTK->Reference Coordinate tab. How to set a reference coordinate is detailed in software setup.
Connect to mobile base with DJI M300 (FastRTK version 5.x)
Establish Wi-fi connection
Search for nearby Wi-fi networks with your mobile device.
SSID: FastRTK
Password: fastrtk!
Your device is now connected to the base and will allow you to access the web interface for setup. It will not connect you to the internet.
If a message pops up saying there is no internet connection on this network, choose to stay connected.

How to convert Arrow to rover mode
Summary:- Power on the base
- Connect to base via local Wi-fi
- Log in to FastRTK admin panel
- Navigate to Support page (FastRTK version 4.x) or the GNSS tools page (FastRTK version 5.x)
- Select
Convert to Rover - Wait for the message that converting is complete
- Power off the base and Arrow, unscrew the Arrow from the base.
- Disconnect the cables from the Arrow and secure the loose cables so they do not fall into the base. Attach string or use another method to make sure you can retrieve the cables. Alternatively, we offer a blank plate that can be screwed on in place of the Arrow and keep the cables secured.
- Replace the External Power Module (EPM) with a standard Arrow battery.
- Use as a standard rover receiver!
To use as base receiver, replace the battery with the EPM module, plug the Arrow into the base, and power on the base. The base will automatically send the configuration needed to convert the receiver to base mode.
